Business confidence and outlook among European businesses in Vietnam has increased, according to the EuroCham Business Climate Index survey.
The results of the second quarterly survey, conducted in Jan. 2011 and released on Feb. 11, showed that business confidence has increased with a EuroCham business climate index of 79, compared with 75 points for the previous survey conducted in the fourth quarter of 2010.

VietNamNet Bridge- A senior official at the Ministry of Industry and Trade says that support industries need more help from the Government. Viet Nam did not create preferential conditions for enterprises wishing to invest in support industries, said Ngo Van Tru, deputy director of heavy industry department at the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

UK newspaper, the Financial Times, on July 26 ran an article saying that Vietnam ’s attractive investment environment, especially its cheap labour costs and political stability, are persuading foreign companies to choose it as the best destination in the region for their investments.
